Trail Talk is built on respect, authenticity, and a shared passion for the outdoors. These Community Guidelines help us maintain a positive and welcoming environment for all members.

Be Respectful

• Treat others with kindness and respect
• Respect different perspectives and experiences
• Avoid personal attacks, harassment, and bullying
• No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic

Be Authentic

• Use your real name or a genuine representation of yourself
• Don't impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Be honest in your posts and interactions
• Don't post misleading or false information

Share Responsibly

• Only post content you have the right to share
• Respect intellectual property and copyright
• Give credit when sharing others' content
• Tag locations responsibly - consider conservation and private property
• Be mindful of sharing sensitive location information

Keep It Legal

• Follow all local, state, and federal laws
• Respect hunting and fishing regulations
• Don't promote or engage in poaching or illegal harvest
• Respect private property and land access rules
• Don't share or promote illegal activities

Appropriate Content

Do not post content that contains:

• Nudity or sexually explicit material
• Graphic violence or gore (use discretion with hunting/fishing photos)
• Self-harm or suicide content
• Dangerous activities that could lead to serious injury
• Illegal drugs or controlled substances
• Sale of firearms, ammunition, or explosives

Hunting & Fishing Etiquette

• Celebrate ethical and fair chase practices
• Show respect for harvested animals
• Focus on conservation and responsible resource management
• Educate and inspire, don't glorify killing
• Use content warnings for graphic harvest photos

No Spam or Scams

• Don't post repetitive or unsolicited content
• No phishing, scams, or fraudulent schemes
• No unauthorized advertising or commercial promotion
• Don't manipulate engagement with fake accounts or bots

Protect Privacy

• Don't share others' personal information without permission
• Respect people's privacy in photos and videos
• Don't post identifiable information about minors
• Be cautious about sharing your own personal information

Report Issues

If you see content that violates these guidelines:

• Use the in-app reporting feature
• Block users who harass or spam you
• Contact us at support@trailtalk.io

Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• Content removal
• Temporary account suspension
• Permanent account termination
• Report to law enforcement (for serious violations)
